VB Edits is an editorial business that specializes in proofreading, copyediting, and line editing.
I created VB Edits because I love reading and I love the written word. Along with professional training, I have a natural ability to spot errors as I read, and love to work with authors as they polish their manuscripts for publication.
Helping others is something I love, so not only will I work on the editing and proofreading aspects of your journey, I’ll be here to cheer you on throughout the process. Helping authors feel confident with their work is a goal I strive for each day.
A Little About Me
My name is Beth, and I’m an avid reader, mom, and sourdough obsessed baker. I live in the most adorable small town (someone should write a romance novel set here. Seriously!) in Michigan with my husband, two kids, and three silly dogs. I specialize in line editing, proofreading, and copyediting all types of romance fiction, particularly contemporary romance.
I have completed copyediting course through the Editorial Freelancers Association and a high-level proofreading course (Edit Republic) to achieve proficiency in proofreading and copyediting.
I’ve also completed two line editing courses. One through the Editorial Freelancers Association and another through Edit Republic.
Prior to becoming an editor, I was a first grade teacher. Teaching children to read is one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever done. I love literature and love sharing it with the world.
